Stevenage Sporting Futures

February has been love your heart month, Arline spends her free time during the week, in and out of school in order to teach year 5's the importance of CPR and defibrillators. 

I have loved working with Stevenage Sporting Futures Team, over 900 children now CPR and defibrillator aware, a huge thank you for such a generous donation which will allow us to install a public access defibrillator in Stevenage.






Cooperscroft Home

Here at DiPPs we love making sure people are aware of how easy a defibrillator is to use. At Cooperscroft Care home's staff and residents the importance of using a defibrillator. 


Training

During half term Arline did her basic life support training in order to deliver the most up to date information in her awareness sessions.




Constant Defib Checks

We spend most of our weekends checking that our defibs are rescue ready. This means that the pads are in date and the battery is okay.

Musical Melodies Choir

Musical melodies choir have always been a supporter of DiPPs, they have used their events over Christmas to help raise money and awareness of DiPPs.

They've raised funds of over £650.



Boozy Bingo

Due to the great success of last years event. The Sheldan put on another great event. they raised £397. 


WGC FC U7's

Welwyn Garden City youth team have been wearing our logo on their kits, helping to raise awareness of our charity 

Race to the Stones

Eva, a friend of DiPPs ran 100km in a weekend in the race to the stones. 

We are incredibly proud of Eva and the £2,000 she raised. We couldn't do this without her




School Awarness

Arline has spent the week at local primary and secondary schools teaching them that anyone can do CPR.



Knebworth FC

We spent the afternoon at Knebworth's family day where we raised awareness of how to do CPR and use their local defib.


100th Placement

In March 2022, we finally reached our 100th Placement. this was in a club in Welwyn Garden City

 We couldn't be prouder of how far we have come. 



Sheldan Inn 

In December, The Sheldan ran many events to raise money for Dipps including a boozy bingo and Santa's grotto 

Virtual Half Marathon

The wonderful Meline and Sean are running the Virtual London marathon in memory on Melanie's sister Sam to raise fund for DiPPs and the Hertfordshire air ambulance

congratulation for completing the 26.2 miles in such awful weather. 


Crawley Green

We collected a cheque from Crawley Green football club for £320 from their gate takings on the last games of the season, whilst also raising £93 from bucket collecting. We would like to thank the wonderful supporters.

Poker

A huge thank you to our fabulous friends who played poker last night. Almost £400 raised




Garage Sale 

A huge thank you to everyone that went to Soo's garage sale earlier this week. A fantastic £1000 was raised, a defibrillator will be placed close by.






Annual Football 

The DiPPs team would like to thank everyone who came to the football tournament yesterday, cake makers, football player and the Ridgeway Academy Sports Centre for running the tournament and making it a great event. we raised a total of £1550, enough for a defibrillator. Thank you all so much



London 100

Dave and his friend Rob, set off to do a 100 mile bike ride through London and surrey to raise money for DiPPs. We admire your hard work




John Lewis Community 

John Lewis, Welwyn Garden City kindly nominated us to be their charity of the year, throughout this we collected money in their store and some of their team took part in our Zip4DiPPs. we've raised multiple due to this.

Coffee Morning

A massive thank you to everyone at Graveley village hall today, we had a wonderful time, met great people and raised a fantastic £400

Zip Wire 

What a wonderful event the zip wire was. We would like to thank everyone who rode the Zip4DiPPs and got sponsorships. we raised a massive £6044



Mowtown Disco 

Another amazing night from the Hatfield Sports and Social club. They've raised a fantastic £830.


Annual Football

What a fantastic afternoon we had, thank you everyone that came up to our tournament to whether you've played or helped us with a stall, you've all helped us to raise £1155.








Carole Allen Dance

On Tuesday Arline collected a huge cheque form John Lewis Welwyn community funds, a massive thank you to everyone that put green tokens in the box.

Bingo 

A massive thank you to Carole Porter, Hatfield Sports and Social club and everyone that attended, we had a great night. It was such a fun night and you raised £570, thank you all so much 



Hatfield Sports and social Club- 80's disco

It was a great night last night. so far including the last disco and the bingo night the Hatfield Sports and social club have raised over £1300 for DiPPs.


Cheese, Wine and Skydive

Jude and I attended a cheese and wine evening at Chipperfield FC raising awareness of defibrillators. that evening we met some amazing people

A total of £1621 was raised for DiPPs this included £481 by two fantastic young men sky driving the very next day.

John Lewis Green Tokens

On Tuesday Arline collected a huge cheque form John Lewis Welwyn community funds, a massive thank you to everyone that put green tokens in the box.

Hardings Pre-

School Bounce

A huge thank you to everyone at Harding preschool for raising an amazing £310.50, by doing a sponsored bounce, the children worked for a full week to keep the trampolines busy 



London2Brighton 

4 amazing ladies set off on their journey to Brighton which consisted a 62 mile walk, we salute you ladies. we are so proud of the foursome. They raised £5040, a huge thank you to everyone who supported them

Golf

Our first golf day was a huge success thanks to Russell Hurd and the fairway golf club. an amazing £2350 was raised which is enough to place at least 2 public access defibrillators.




Annual Football

After the huge success of the last football fundraiser, it made a comeback and became an annual event. We thank everyone who joined us and all the staff at SFO sports centre. we raised £1000 today. We cannot thank you enough

Poker

The second DiPPs charity poker game took place in Wimbledon in June.

Many good natured cries of "ALL IN' saw the DiPPs prize pool raise to in excess of £500. Many prizes were won, Guy took home the trophy for the second year running but DiPPs was the ultimate winner. 

Prospect House

We were delighted to have been chosen as the beneficiary of the Prospect House School quiz night.

They gave us an audience to talk about James and the importance of defibrillators, as the people present were almost entirely parents they really understood the horror of losing a beloved child. The response was phenomenal, and the quiz night raised in excess of £3,000

Book Sale

James' cousins decided to sell some of their books outside of their house to raise money for DiPPs.

They created leaflets to let the local community know and emailed their friends and family.

It was a fabulous day, the rain stayed away and our friends didn't! We made an incredible £614.96 which will be used to place a defibrillator into a local school or sports facility as soon as possible.



Annual Football

James was passionate about football, so we feel hugely overwhelmed and grateful that our first DiPPs football fundraiser.

Many thanks go to the SFO Sports Centre, one of the first recipients of a DiPPs defibrillator, for providing us with the venue and their passionate expertise.

We raised a massive £1013.21 from the tournament, barbecue and raffle, every penny of which will go towards buying life saving defibrillators.

St. Albans Half Marathon

Walking for DiPPs

On Sunday June 12th our DiPPS founder and trustee Arline, along with good friend Jane Thomson. They SMASHED their original target and had raised £2,000.They completed the entire 13.1 miles in 3 hours 17 minutes.

No walk in the park on an exceptionally soggy Sunday. We couldn't be prouder.
